Greetings all,
I am about to take delivery of the new scoot, possibly this week, and one of my first electrical farkles will be to add a Powerlet, DIN, BMW, whatever you want to call it, socket on the left side of the bike, preferably below my left thigh.
I've done this for the last several bikes and scooters now. I use that outlet to plug in a smart charger when the bike's in the garage, and for heated gear on those occasions when I ride when it's chilly out. This is easier to see in pics than to explain it in words, so, if you have a minute or two, please take a look at one of my sub-galleries to see what I'm talking about:
I find this easier and quicker, for routine float charging, than connecting to an SAE pigtail, and I find it to be ideal location for hooking up heated gear.
In any case, I'd appreciate feedback from the group here regarding making a connection to the battery, perhaps any quirks with removing tupperware over on the left side, and similar related matters. Thanks for any help.
