Pre-warm Seat and Grips

So, 1st world problem here. We'll be getting into cold weather riding soon. In fact, I've already had a morning ride at 50°F and that was pretty brisk; so I turned on the heated grips and seat, but it takes about 1/3 of my commute to get them heated to a point that they are actually of any comfort. Ideally, I would love to start up my bike and let the seat and grips pre-heat before I take off, but the bike automatically shuts off if it's just parked. Anyone know a solution?

I have the 2016 Premium model with the heated seats n grips. I used them last winter n
they got WARM FAST. I found out when you have the bike either sitting on it without the
centerstand . You have to put it on the HIGHER temp at first and then you should lower
the temp by a tap on the button. yeah even in the low 50's outside work well.

There is no 2016 model of the CE-04. So, not sure we're on the same page. On this model, it doesn't warm up as fast - probably because I have the comfort seat which has more padding, and I also put grip puppies on which probably has some warming delay for the grips.

now there's the 'problem' of you not feeling the warmth fast enough...

Honestly preheating the grips and seats is what the big BMW logo in the center of the fob should do, but as Hannesd mentioned, using the center stand to bypass the side stand sensor is the only way to turn on heating as the scooter *must* be ride-ready in order to enable them. I wonder if this is why the heated gear port was oddly marketed somewhat heavily considering it's just a standard cigarette lighter.

Actually, it's not a standard cigarette lighter outlet, which is why I had to buy a BMW 12v adapter that converts my radar detector's cigarette lighter male plugin to the smaller BMW 12v female outlet, which is known as a DIN Hella outlet.
