Been lurking for a bit and decided to finally introduce myself. Picked up a white 2016 C650 Sport with only 1886 miles on the clock. 6 of those miles were from my test ride. Scooter has full maintenance history with all of it done at the same dealership the previous owner bought it new from and where I ended up buying it from. It came with a bunch of the accessories such as the luggage rack, top case with passenger back rest, tunnel bag, and rain cover for the seat.

Wanted to have something that allowed me to ride around in comfort with storage space and have the ability to get on the highway. I'll be leaving the scooter at my beach house and it'll be perfect for it. This is an excellent balance of practicality, comfort, and performance.

I also have two other two wheeled vehicles: black 2004 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and white 2009 Ducati 848. Have been thinking about trading in my 848 for a S1000RR as I've done about 5 years of track time with it through California Superbike School. If I do, it'll make a trifecta of BMW vehicles as I also have a 2013 135i.

Make sure the recall(s) have been done (on my 2016 Sport, something about the front brake line(s)). Also, mine developed a rattle when engine was cold, went away as it warmed up, turned out to be the chain tensioner that was such an issue on older models. BMW replaced under warranty in 2018.

Hello
thanks for the interesting post

But...

I'm starting to sense a trend.

How many people bought very low mileage C650 BMWs within months of their original purchase?

I would bet that many people simply bought what they thought they wanted....

... then sold them withing a year or so

Thanks for the heads up. The scoot was 100% maintained by the dealer I purchased from. I have all the service records. They performed the recall when the took in the scoot as a sale/trade in. I'll keep an eye on the chain. The last service done by the dealer, they had inspected that area to check chain sag.
