Look for the Vermillion Red C650GT with "Snoopy" stickers on the side and a NYS (AMA) license plate. It'll be parked next to a black Honda Silverwing with a NJ plate. That'd be me and my buddy Dennis.

We're there all three days!

Yup, that time of year again! The races are on Sunday, August 9, with the practices on Friday (August 7) and qualifying on Saturday (August 8). New this year is the MotoAmerica Superbike series as the supporting class (as opposed to the XR1200 series they had in years past). Once again I'll be riding "Snoopy" (my trusty 2013 C650GT) from New York on Wednesday with my first stop in Washington, PA and arriving in Indianapolis Thursday evening. On Monday morning we'll leave Indy and head back home. We'll DEFINITELY be hitting the Tilted Kilt on Meridien for more photo ops, too!

Four hundred miles down, another 300 tomorrow and we'll be in Indianapolis. Overnighting in Washington, PA. Dinner at Cracker Barrel, and breakfast tomorrow morning at Waffle House. Then it'll OFFICIALLY be a "Road Trip!"

What a ride. Yesterday, 90+ degrees and humid. Today? Rain and never saw temperatures over 66. Got here around 5:00 and the sun came out after the bikes were unpacked.

Forecast for the weekend looks good, though!

Friday and Saturday the weather was GREAT. Saw the practices for the MotoGP races and qualifying for MotoAmerica. Saturday was qualifying for MotoGP and Race 1 for the MotoAmerica Races. Tomorrow are the MotoGP races and Race 2 for MotoAmerica with one twist: They're predicting rain in the afternoon. Only the MotoAmerica guys have had any test time on this track in the rain (they had practices on Thursday) so anything goes with MotoGP.

"Motorcycles on Meridian" on Friday night was AWESOME. Saw a few scooters (no other BMWs) and a LOT of custom bikes of every possible type. Tonight I have to do laundry so went straight back to the hotel after dinner.

What a GREAT race weekend. The rain held off till the very end of the MotoAmerica Superbike/Super Stock race (red-flagged with one lap to go). Sadly, it looks like I have a two day ride home in the rain starting tomorrow... the weather will be following us back east. :(

Unfortunately, there will NOT be a MotoGP race in Indianapolis in 2016, which sucks. From what I've heard from friends who've attended the races in Austin, Indy was a FAR better deal. The Austin race is also too early in the season to consider riding down from the Northeast.
