Red Warning light water temperature (HELP PLEASE)

As I travel on the motocycle (BMW c600) aftrer 40 km at a speed of 120-150 km/h a red warning lamp illuminates and shows water temperature, Just lowering speeds the lamp goes off. I check the water level and everything is normal (OK), diagnosed by the delegation BMW and saying there everything is OK, if i run with the same speed the red warning light is coming back. ANY HELP PLEASE !!!!

It doesn't look like anyone on the forum has had a similar experience. Have you taken it to the dealer to have it diagnosed with a OBD tool?

Yes the source to the official dealer and tells me it is occasional, if I start and push and hold for some time over 140 km/h then the lamp (with a sign of water).

Hi!, first of all, sorry for my bad english, I´m from Argentina and own a 650 GT.
The temp indicator is something I´ve allways wondered why this scooter doesn´t have; it´s an expensive vehicle, but no temperature gauge.
I didn´t have temperature problems (thank god), but it´s goog to know there is a lamp that indicates de overheating!!!!

I experienced the same today. Checked the coolant. It was low. Added about 1/8 cup of coolant. Went home. Traffic was heavy so speed was like 25-40kph only. Then the warning lights again showed up. Got home, checked the coolant level and it was ok. Am stumped.

Where is the coolant temp sensor located?

Оказалось, что у меня сломался предохранитель вентилятора. Replaced it and it's all good.
радиатор2.jpgрадиатор2.jpgHi! I'm sorry, I rarely come here. I had the same. I was warming up at high speeds. There are 2 problems. 1. - it's a radiator CLOGGED with DIRT (it is better to remove for washing, on photo) 2. - these are rotten relays or fuses (also possible contacts in the terminals). After the first action-heated less often. After the second action, the problem is gone. P.S. Don't forget to install the mudguard on the front fender. And cover the relay and fuse box with a rubber cover.

After the fuse on my scoot was replaced, I thought all was good. Then it overheated. Turns out that the radiator was clogged from all that dirt and grime. Dealer cleaned the radiator and found the radiator fan had burned out. Replaced that too. Cost over $300 in repairs. Morale of the story, clean the radiator.

Wow, I was just asking the tech about this today. Specifically, is the TEMP display under info related to OUTSIDE (yes), or coolant (no).
He didn't tell me there was a red warning lamp with regards to overheating. Good to know.
(No, I haven't read the manual yet. That's like reading the instructions, LOL. )

You cleaned radiator inside or outside?

I am experiencing the same. Have you found a solution. My BMW Dealership does not seem able to provide a solution.

The OP does not appear to have been back since posting. Have you tried some of the above...cleaning radiator...fuse check...fan check? I have not had the issue but this is where I would start.
