I was getting on my bike and my right foot slipped under the bike and slid on sand on pavement.
Did get a few little scratches on the upper right cowling. But a black marker took care of that Those 2 are the only ones
scratched. I did look on ebay and they had a set of 2 for $27.07 comes from china can you help

I'd strongly recommend you go OEM for brake levers. The machining tolerances are quite fussy.

Read this thread that was posted last month before you "save" $50 going with a third-party lever.

Before I joined this forum I had a similar experience as well, when I bought a knock-off to replace a snapped lever after someone knocked my bike over while parked, and had to stop a 5-hour trip I had planned midway through, remove my brake lever, drive 50 miles without front brakes to Max BMW in Albany, and replace both the cheap lever and my front brake pads, because they got cooked in the process.

Saving $50 in the short run cost me ~$450 in consequences.

I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions, but I wanted to stress the "what could possibly go wrong?" side.

G'Luck!

Thank you for the info i new china made stuff cheap for our bikes and they have problems afterwards. I will stick with the broken tip on my BEEMER instead of spending that much $$$ on a new brake lever. Thanks
GOOD ADVICE

There are used OEM parts on Ebay and your brake lever just may be among them. That's how I scored an as good as new heated seat for $100 or so.

I tried the ebay Chinese lever, and it broke the first day. See the story at this link.
I found these levers online and decided to risk $38. They claim to fit C650GT 2012-15, but mine is a 2020.
I had to grind down the finger that pushes against the brake master cylinder so that the brake doesn't drag, but that was just a quick job with a grindstone on a dremel.
I've just used it for a few hundred miles, and so far it works fine and I like it.
