So my side stand gave way the other day and the bolts snapped. Now my '13 c600 sport wont start and wont cant be moved as the brakes are on and wont come off now also. The plug on the front of the side stand broke off the wire on rear is still connected anyone have any idea as to how to fix?

Thx

Those wires are just looking for a complete circuit. Connect the 2 wires together to bypass the switch and that should do it.

I'll give that a shot. Thx. Also, if i wanted to do the repair myself do you know if BMW sells a connector kit that i can splice in or would the whole cable have to be replaced? I guess i would need the connector part # and the bolts that reattach side stand to bike. Thx again

You can always splice wires, just make sure to shrink wrap them or use some type of liquid electrical take to keep the connections dry.

Thats my plan but i cant seem to locate the part # for the connector. I see the whole harness and I see that BMW sells replacement connectors but i cant figure out the type and nothing clearly spells it out either

I see the connector you are talking about on my shop manual but no part numbers for it. Can you take the connector in to your BMW dealer? That would be best bet in my mind.

A couple of months ago I put the sidestand down on my 2013 C650Gt.when the bike tilted about 10 degrees more than it should. Straightening it back upright I discovered that the sidestand was loose. I immediately rode over to my dealership. They found that of the three bolts, one was missing, one was broken, and the last one was loose. They were able to get the broken one out and found two bolts to use until the correct ones came in. So guys, you need to check those fasteners every so often to make sure this doesn’t happen to you.
