Hey scooter riders, I just got a pair of SIDI Gore-Tex boots for this riding season. I was wondering for those of you who have had them or have them, what did you use to clean/treat them. Thanks in advance! Spring may finally be here in my neck of the woods, and I may get a ride in this Saturday!!

Oh yeah. Down to Chico and back home. Always fun driving with mounds of snow piled up on the side of the road for contrast. Probably head off to Truckee in a couple of weeks, that's a nice ride for me. Longer rides this season planned for Oregon and possibly Glacier Park... plus, there's always Alaska! I lived there for 12 years with friends and family still up there. I would need a nice block of time to do that ride. I would put the bike on the Alaska Marine Highway ferrry in Bellingham or Prince Rupert, and then get off in Haines and ride on up from there!

Bellingham to Haines...You got me curious so I looked it up on the map. How long of a ferry ride is that? Sounds like a pretty doggone spectacular start to the trip.

The Marine journey is one of the best parts. Get your own cabin or sleep on a covered deck. Depending on how many port of call stops, it could be a week. Fantastic scenery and an onboard galley and bar for food and drink. Check out their website for more info..http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/. I have taken the Bellingham or Sitka trip many times and always have a great time. Always interesting folks to talk with on the journey....

Really excellent. Bookmarked. Planning a trip is big fun and I have a cousin in Juneau. Taking a bike along is a great idea. I might even side car with one of my west coast kids. Thanks, Lee.

A few words concerning the weight of your helmet, All our lives the weakest set of bones in the human body have supported our Eight pound head. Now we add a helmet weighing three or four pounds and the sudden change in direction or deceleration puts a strain on the neck that those weak bones can not tolerate, Result Broken neck. Numerous race car drivers have suffered the result of those heavy helmets, Most died. Think about a lighter weight helmet, It passed the same test that heavy monster passed. Happy motoring,
