Time for a color change!

I couldn't take the stock 2014 Havana brown color any longer so my scooter got a partial paint job.

Havana brown my look good on an SUV but, at least to me, it is a hideous color for a motorcycle. I chose a bright sold red because I had the paint but I also almost did it in Yellow or Kawasaki green (I had those colors too).

As you can see I only painted the four main panels and at least for now I am leaving the front fender and the side panels Havana metallic. I think it looks ok as a two tone.

I may do something with them later, such as a red stripe on the side panel or even painting them a semi gloss black to match the black plastic, but I am open to suggestions...... And no I am not going to paint them with pink poka-dots as a Harley friend suggested.

I suggest you ask your Harley friend to try to keep up with you on a few twisties. :)

That said, I REALLY respect what Harley Davidson has done for the motorcycle business, but while I have many friends that are Harley riders, some of the "pretenders" can be a little tough to take regardless of what type of non-Harley machine you may be riding.

Note: I spoke with a Buell factory rep yesterday at one of my favorite dealerships and he said they are coming back. They have the racing heritage but will also offer stuff for guys like me ( and maybe you, too).
