I just came back today from a 12 days and 4,600 km (2,800 miles) trip from Victoria, BC, Canada to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah on my C600 sport. I am happy to report that the 600 is a very capable and comfortable touring machine. Cruising on the highways at 130 kmh (80 mph) or zipping through the canyons and mountain roads was a real pleasure! We were very lucky and only had one day of rain in the entire trip (our first day from Anacortes to Leavenworth, WA) and I really enjoyed the protection you get from the fairing. Longest day in the saddle was ridding from Wendover, Nevada to Ontario, Oregon a total of 620 km (325 miles) in one day. The highlight of the trip was going to the Bonneville races and looking at all the modified cars and bikes! What a great event and really friendly folks!

Here is a link to a Google map showing the details of our trip.

s far as touring modifications on the bike I installed a Givi top box and also used soft luggage on the passenger seat but I probably could have done away with the soft luggage all together. I also added a X-screen wind deflector on the regular windshield which made the long rides on the highway much more comfortable. All in all a great trip! I will see if I can post a few photos in separate message later.
