Touch-Up Paint (Yeah, I know)

So, the third day I owned the bike I stuck the landing with my front brake. This was followed by the slow motion move to the pavement followed by a skinned knee, bruised hip, and (far far worse) a couple deep nicks to my right fairing.

I don't see it (the "imperfection") often, but today, my visiting California kid was doing a walk around. She didn't say anything, but I saw her move her hand over those blemishes and all of a sudden she stopped, looked at me and rubbed my shoulder in that grown kid move with the..."It's OK Dad, there are starving people in Africa" thing (if you have grown children, you know what I mean).

Well, maybe there are a few million without food and shelter, but %#¥>, I got a mark on my new GT!

Suggestions as to touch-up? Guess I'll head out to my local body shop and see what he says. Anybody know how difficult it is to take the fairing off?

Not sure which one you have. The right side panel came off with just removing a few torx-head screws on the C650GT though. The process is detailed in the owner's manual if you look up how to access the battery. The toolkit includes the correct tool to do this, too.

What I'd like to find is a pre-cut protective cover for that painted section in front of the saddle between the floor boards. It's already covered in scuff marks from my boots from getting on and off (and I've TRIED to be careful). Couple of nice, nasty SCRATCHES in there too. Couldn't BMW's design engineers foresee that OBVIOUS issue when they designed this thing??

I hear the new GT's are coming out without the painted part in the tunnel area.
I think the lowest price option is to remove and take to a guy whom can put a wrap on it. there are many colors to choose from and even a clear carbon fiber stuff to show your stock color and keep it covered as well.
Here is seattle we have a guy who does this sort of think for a side business, he shows pics of everything he does.

might try a place like this to get a starting point for who to go to.

I would agree with the tunnel area, even with me being careful it scuffs up way to easy. I need to find some sort of rubber mat that I can stick on that area..... Or maybe some carpet, lol...

I got some clear vinyl from a guy who does vinyl designs on cars. I think Whitehorse Press may sell a kit for $25. I didn't do a good job of installing but it protects the plastic. Learned later to wet the surface with a spray bottle of water with a drop of liquid soap and some alcohol.
