Labor Day weekend The Owls Head Transportation Museum, in Maine, is having their annual antique motorcycle show.
Vintage Motorcycle Meet - Events | Owls Head Transportation Museum
A great museum, they have cars, trucks, motorcycles, and airplanes. Well worth the trip. They usually have many of the antique aircraft flying in the morning.
Last year they had a Mustang chasing around a Japanese Zero!!

Next weekend in Boston is the Lars Anderson Transportation Museum, European Motorcycle Show.

European Motorcycle Day | Larz Anderson Auto Museum

I think I will get to both of these shows.

Snowdog was the only one in attendance

Ha, yeah, I've had several of those.:D

Snowdog, you should know that at the last BMW UMV meeting (unfortunately, you were not in attendance ), you were named Chairman of this summer's meet-up. Did we forget to tell you that? No doubt you will come up with something great!

Second Annual Rally July 17, 18, 19, 2015 Where? Gorham NH.

This is a No Bureaucracy rally! No registration, cost or other BS ( yes, that means no T shirts either). Just show up, and remember to ride your own ride. (for safety) If you crash, it's your own damn fault. OK?

Gorham is in the Northern White Mountains and close to many scenic roads. The town has many restaurants, and Motels with camping close by. The area is a favorite of many New England and Canadian motorcyclists , with a healthy dose of ATV riders. ( it is legal to ride an ATV on the main Street)

The premise of the Rally is to; ride, tell lies, eat, then ride again. Nothing more complicated then that.

There will be token awards for the typical rally bragging subjects , such as, furthest ride, best moose picture, etc..

I have booked lodgings at the Gorham Motor INN. Gorham Motor Inn Hotel in Gorham, North Conway, Glen, Berlin New Hampshire - White Mountains. An older motel, it is conveniently located near restaurants and attractions, and the price is good. They have been remodeling the rooms. I have stayed there several times, and it is popular with motorcyclists.
Before you book a hotel, always check it out with the Bed Bug Registry.

Oh, bring your friends no matter what they ride. And treat everyone with respect.

I don't expect more then a handful of attendees, there aren't many BMW Scoots!!

Any questions?

Well, there will probably be some in Tuckerman's Ravine!! Gypsy tour works. Maybe more of an excuse not to be home to mow the lawn.

Second Annual Rally rides will consist of; the 5 Notches Tour and the Moose Run. Which days depends on who shows up.

Notches, Pinkham, Kangamangus Pass,Franconia, Crawford, Evans (Maine).

The Moose Run will take us from Maine to Vermont. I can't guarantee we will see a moose (twenty years ago I could), but, it is prime Moose country. Oh, and we will get another Notch, Dixville .

Along the "5 Notch Tour" we will pass the Whitehorse Gear store, might as well make a quick stop for gadgets, and stuff BMW owners love to buy!!
