Franconia Notch was also hidden in the clouds, no pictures here. On the way to Crawford Notch the Mount Washington Hotel was standing proud an impressive sight at the base of the presidential range.P7180692.jpg

Hurricane Mountain Road is narrow, steep, and curvy, with almost no view to speak of, just trees. Don't pass it up! It will also get you over to Evans Notch Road, Maine Rt 113, a North South Rd through the Mountains, also in the clouds.P7180704.jpg

Back to the start of Saturdays ride the ATV's were running up and down the Main Street. This is supposed to bolster the economy, yet there are many empty commercial buildings. There was also lots of bikes, a toss up which group was nosierP7180708.jpg.

Sunday greeted the ride with several hours of rain , which turned to Sun and 95 Deg temps in about 15 minutes. It was a good ride and Rally, I'll start planning for next year.

Scooter rally in my playground! The bad news is I can't make it. The good news is I'll be at the Modernvespa MP3 rally in north Georgia.

Scooter rally in my playground!......

Yeah, and as you know, I've recently been down there. Spectacular part of the country to ride. In fact, when Kurt asked about where a good place in Ohio would be to have a rally, I actually was thinking Nashville area. OK, Nashville, is not Ohio, but looking at the member map and knowing what a great setting the area is.....

(Note to PhilD...If you haven't been up there, absolutely made for your R.)
