Second Annual Rally news. I have a handle bar bracket for a Sport that will take all sorts of gadgets and has an ear for a radio antenna. See any of my pictures. Anyway I put a set of GT handle bars on and my bracket needed a redesign, so I have a bracket for the Sport bars that I don't need. I thought of selling it, but, decided to raffle it off at the rally. If you have a GT, and win, I will make you a bracket. You just have to be there.

I decided there should be a photography contest as part of the Second Annual Rally. Entrants will submit their pictures after the rally, and we can all vote on the winner. I will think of a suitable prize.
Two rules;
Must be from rally.
No Photoshop or the like.

Today,A beautiful day for a ride!! 75 deg and sunny. Last night, I road through Pinkham Notch as the failing light outlined MT Washington, it was eerie as there were almost no cars on the road. A good start to the Rally.IMG_0431.jpg

IMG_0434.jpgThis building in Lancaster was a machine shop that made parts for the Cog Railroad on Mt Washington. Now a small museum, the gentleman there talked my ear off.

The ride went to Pittsburg NH, the traffic on main st was light today. Unusual as there is a border crossing a few miles up the road.IMG_0458.jpg

Lunch at Dube's, a grilled cheese sandwich stuffed with ham (a lot of ham) and a side order of old fashion French fries, the kind no one seems to make any more.

Dixville Notch is famous and makes the news every presidential election, it also has the Balsams Hotel, which for some reason has been empty for several years.IMG_0464.jpg

And no New England tour is complete without a covered bridge.

I wish I had good pictures from today, but, the clouds were to low . A car in front of me, going over one notch, disappeared in front of me and he was probably ahead only four or five car lengths. Like pea soup fog. The day started in rain and turned to a mist in the mountains, and finally the sun came out half way through the afternoon. Got all the notches and still enjoyed the ride with slightly less than perfect weather. Tomorrow is supposed to be better, we will see.

The clouds socked in the mountains along the Kancamagus, but, the valley floor was clear at Loon Mountain. I didn't go for a swim, the river looked icy cold.P7180690.jpg
