Vibration when turning and resonance

Hi all, new owner here. Just purchased a used 2019 C400X with 7,000k. Test rode a new demo first. The demo had a slight vibration when turning, no resonance noises. Mine has the same vibration but a very bad resonance noise at approx 3500rpm. Anybody know what is causing these issues? Any known fix?

My C400X is at the dealer getting some things fixed. I listed the bad resonance noise as one of the issues. (It happens if you stay right at 20-24 mph)
I was wondering if it was a normal noise or not. Interesting that the demo unit did not have that. That makes me hope the dealer can fix it as its something not normal. It is incredibly loud.

I also notice the vibration while turning, I figured this was normal as well, I am assuming the weight of the motor is shifting on the rubber mount and it throws more vibrations into the chassis.

Update on the resonance noise... Looks like there is a rivet that has come loose on the right side somewhere, parts on order from Germany.... (Glad its not a normal noise)

Had a real close look at mine today. Sure looks like the motor mount has collapsed to me? Will take to dealer next few days. mount.jpg

Right side. Took to dealer, we looked at new one and a demo with 1700k. Both were somewhat the same BUT not so far off centre. Rode the demo, has a SLIGHT amount of vibe when turning, a greatly reduced resonance at same rpm. Both totally acceptable. Dealer is going to remove mount and check for torn/worn rubber. Will advise outcome.

So apparently the loud resonance noise at around 20mph BMW knows about as there is a bulletin out for it. There are no parts available to fix it however.
So i'll have to bring the bike back in at some point but at least a fix is coming, that is good to know.

Very interesting ! Is it possible to post a copy of this bulletin ?
I have the very same issue and the dealer ignores this.

They only gave me the bulletin number unfortunately. They don't usually give out bulletins. Maybe someone at a BMW dealer can look up the bulletin number, I could not find anything on the internet.

My dealer has verified same. No parts available at this time... Good news is BMW has recognized the issue exists ( seems to be half the battle ) and at some point? should be updated motor mounts available.

Had my C400X since August 2020 with just 3000 kms. Has never stopped an awful vibration since purchase especially at 30 kph with slight throttle. Whole bike shook and after many attempts of trying to prove a problem with BMW dealer... I finally refused to ride it unless it got sorted as it became really bad. BMW striped the bike and found the engine mounting was designed wrong and sent a replacement over Christmas that took 3 weeks to arrive and involved a big strip, luckily the replacement throttle cable assembly was done at same time, all under warranty, luckily I have a 3 year BMW warranty here. Can report bike is 100% better and is totally different to before. Rides like a normal scooter. Now plagued with the BAD closing seat that is worse after the rebuild, but despite BMW trying to tell me how to press it closed, wriggle it to close and slam it, still refuses 90% of the time... stupid design!! Anyway hopefully fixed this week as new catch on order!! I tried to tell the dealer there is a modified seat available but it falls on deaf ears!!! Love the bike, fuel economy is beyond excellent, got the digital dash all connected to helmet and Nav, fast enough for me, good comfort, expensive but worth it. No battery issues, and it has been left for weeks... Keep at the dealer if you have an issue is my advise. JimScreenshot_20210118-060545_Gallery.jpg

The YSS has arrived. Not installed yet... can tell you the initial look/feel is it is high quality nice stuff. I will be away for next couple months so will not be able to post a review of performance for a while. If it performs half as well as it looks, I will be happy. Spoke with my dealer today. Still no upgrade motor mounts available. They will replace mine under warranty with factory originals when I'm back. As soon as upgrade part available? if ever, will replace again. In general love the scoot. Kinda spoilt as I have a number of other bikes in the stable. R1250RT, DR790 etc etc... I find myself jumping on the CX 90% of the time!

Just curious but did you get dinged with duties and taxes?

Is there a rebound adjustment for the front shock or just compression?

Looking forward to your opinions once installed.
