What's on your feet?

I don't mean in-grown toe-nails or corns

What do you wear to ride in? I'm looking for a new pair of riding shoes/boots for work. Here are my current go to shoes: Speed and Strength Black 9 Moto Shoes - RevZilla ; brown. I really like them too. I am on my feet most of the day (elementary teacher) and find I don't get back or foot pain with them (I do have back problems). I wear khakis and jeans most days so the brown shoes are great; they look good and are fairly protective. I have done the zippered boots and change at work but don't like it; not doing it anymore. Any recommendations? Brown is hard to find, but none-the-less, that is my first choice.

I have another pair of Timberlines I wear that are really worn. They have a cool brown worn leathery look but do not have the tread needed for those times when I am stopping on slick surfaces with a heavy bike. I wear them with the KLR that is light enough for me to control even under slippery conditions.

FWIW....Some of the Harley boots are really great and are not that expensive. My lady has a pair and loves them and she is kinda (wrong ---not kinda) a clothes horse.

I've got some Harley boots with the size zipper. I like that size zipper. Seems like most of the bike boots have some kind of left foot shift business going on which we don't need. But I think the stability of a high boot is helpful at the right time.

Best damned boots I've ever owned. When you first put them on, they're as stiff as Alpine Ski Boots. Not an issue on our scooters, but it made shifting my LT "interesting." I wore them as regular footwear for an entire week and they broke in enough to make it easy to shift. I was an MSF RiderCoach which means I spend a LOT of time on my feet on weekends and my feet were never sore at the end of the day.

These boots also saved my feet when I high-sided my 1125R several years ago when my buddy unexpectedly slowed to make a quick right turn. The boot repair folks recommended by Aerostich got them looking almost as good as new. I'm on my second set of soles and laces and these boots have already lasted far longer than any other pair I've owned. Just the best footwear I've ever found in 33 years of riding and over a half a million miles done on powered two-wheelers.

I wear boots all day long ( I'm an Electrician) I would always buy Dunham boots but they went out of business I have some wolverine boots that cost more than the Dunhams and I have been breaking them in for about 2 months now not very satisfied with them So I'm going to check out some other brands. When we go riding about 40% of the time we wind up hiking some where so I would like to find some boots that would cover work/ hiking.

What are you doing down here!?! And you didn't even call..

Ha...Yeah, daughter #2 was the featured artist at a gallery in Leipers Fork. A lot going on. I rented a condo for the weekend right on the Brentwood/Franklin line. Made some noises about renting a bike for part of the day Saturday but got the "look" from my wife (she wanted me to go to the shindigs in Franklin with the rest of the gang). Looks like a great part of the country for riding. In fact, a guy with a F800GS was telling me the local Beemer dealer rents bikes and invited me to head out with him the next day. Had to take off but would have been great to get out there on a C650GT or C600.

Leipers is one of my favorite haunts. You were close to me - next time, let me know! I've got the BMW and 2 piaggios - now way your wife can deny you a ride on a borrowed bike, right?!!!

Yup...true true. I would have loved some time on a Piaggio.

Danner 8" Strikers. These are lace ups with side zippers. Rare for riding boots they are comfortable on the bike and for walking/hiking. I call 'em my cop boots.

Actually, a lot of people wear them on bikes. I wear your basic combat boots, with out zippers to save weight, and because when I retired from the military I had a closet full of combat boots that the government gave me. They also don't look like I bought them at a "Star Wars" convention.
