I had a similar sounding problem with my scooter last year. Even though my scooter was always kept on a battery tender while not in use, it turned out to be a bad battery. Once it was replaced it worked fine, although a trip to the dealer was required in order to reset the windscreen.
You will need a Shad mounting plate that will accept their top cases. Here’s a link to the Shad website.

For top box options, look at the Shad product line. They are the OEM manufacturer for BMW cases and their prices (at least in the US) are much cheaper than the BMW branded cases. I have one for my 2013 650GT and have been very happy with it.
I recently had a similar problem with my 2013 scooter. I always keep it connected to a battery tender when parked, but when I went to start it no luck even though the tender showed solid green lights indicating a full charge. Dash lights came up but starter would not turn over at all. I tested...
I was told the same by the dealer here in Portland, OR. I had scheduled to take my scooter in for service last week and when I took it in on Saturday was told of the brake line issue. They will not release the scooter to me until the repair is completed, which could be a couple of weeks or...
Sounds like you’re ready to roll, weather permitting. Spring weather has arrived here in Oregon and I’m planning on getting out tomorrow for my first ride of the year.
Enjoy your new scooter!!
I’m 6’2” with a 34-inch inseam. I find the scooter to be plenty comfortable, lots of leg room, and would think it should work for you as well. I replaced the stock screen with an Aeroflow screen, which I found to be a big improvement.
Pretty cool drone video of your snowstorm.

By the way, we got nailed with snow overnight here in the Portland area--6-8 inches with more to come. Definitely no scooter riding today!
My experience based on last years' riding is similar to yours. I try to wave at all two wheeled, motorized, vehicles when practical. Helps to build that feeling of brotherhood out on the open road.
See my 7-24-2016 "Scooter won't start" posting in the General Discussion archive. Describes a similar sounding starting problem with some good feedback from the community. Since that episode in July I have been adding Startron Gas Additive after each fill up. No starting problems since then.
I recently purchased this cover from Discount Ramps in a size large. I store my scooter in the garage, but when I ride over to our beach cabin the scooter is parked outside, and that's when the cover comes in handy. I am very happy with this cover, and the price is right. For light duty I...
I talked with the dealer today about the starting problem. Based on the symptoms I described, they believe the problem is fuel related. The service rep says they have seen this issue with other 650 scooters, describing the problem as seeming like the engine is flooded even though it's fuel...
See my updated post. I rode the scooter last weekend--no problems. It has been parked in my garage all week. At one point last week I started the bike on the center stand, but did not move it. It only ran for 10 seconds or so. Maybe that's what caused the problem?
