That’s how mine started with a rattle .. Got worse then just shat itself and had to get it transported to the dealer

Mine shit itself and gather was a problem to similar models .. BMW Australia replaced it and ended up with new long motor which also fixed the clutch issues Just love the bike and glad it goes and handles like a rocker racer

I’ve got a2016 with low mileage as well The chain tensioner exploded after rattling on My way to train station.. Luckily just in warranty Think it’s a known problem as dealer said it cost Bmw 22,000 aud with a new long motor as whatever they tried they couldn’t fix it prior ..

I have a 2016 sport and just love it... As far as handling a performance goes it’s superb And leaves most conventional bikes wondering how it blows them away .. And capacity to store big items and helmets under the the seats a bonus ...

Just happened to my scooter same vintage Was a timing chain tensioner ... Sounds like mine.., It went totally and bmw collected it and replaced it but couldn’t fix it.., Ended up replacing whole engine long and new drive chain ... More expensive than giving me a new bike ... Goes like a rocket...

yep..mine is the same..albeit a bit quieter...think its the clutch pulley gearing down

Hi guys, have c650 2016 model...absolutely love the bike even though iam on my 2nd clutch.... yes covered under warranty but idiots wouldnt replace it with a dr pulley aftermarket which would have been a better fix... guess when iam on my next ill have to do that... apart from the clutch...
