    Piston ring failure, maybe 🤔

I had about 51,000 miles on mine.

    C400X engine failure

I was riding my 2019 C400X when suddenly there was a loud clattering noise and a lot of blue/white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. The engine froze up and I had to have it towed to the dealer. Turns out it swallowed an exhaust valve. The problem was that the bearing for the rocker arm roller...

    Piston ring failure, maybe 🤔

I had a similar problem. I was riding my 2019 C400X when suddenly there was a loud clattering noise and a lot of blue/white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. The engine froze up and I had to have it towed to the dealer. Turns out it swallowed an exhaust valve. The problem was that the bearing...

    C400X clutch pulley failure

I bought a new driven assembly. The bearing and seal were in pretty bad shape and using heat to pull off the sleeve would have ruined them.

    C400X clutch pulley failure

I didn't remove the small rollers, they came out when I took the spring off. The pins had worked their way into the center shaft far enough so that the small rollers were no longer being held by them. I was then able to drive out the pins with a hammer and a drift. I suspect that during...

    43000 miles, 1 owner, c400x

I have a 2019 C400x I bought new in 2020. I just finished my 90,000 mile service. At 51,000 miles it swallowed a valve but fortunately I had an extended warranty so I was able to have the engine and drive train assembly replaced. Other than that I’ve had the heated grips replaced and the clutch...

    Bmw c400gt 2022 missing module

It’s probably the satellite module which is added if your bike has heated seats.

    battery life in key

I found that temperature has a big impact on low battery indication. In cool weather, simply switching to carrying it in an inside pocket makes a big difference.

    First time BMW scooter rider

I think you made the right choice. I'm 75 years old and as you can see from my medallion I've put a few miles on BMW scooters. I started with a C650GT and I'm now on my second C400X. I've found that with my 75 year old body and the type of riding I like to do, the C400 is the perfect bike for me...

    C400X clutch pulley failure

You have the same problem I had. Sorry but the only fix I found was to replace the whole assembly.

    C-400GT braking problem

I've had a similar problem on my 2019 C400X although not as extreme as yours sounds. I first thought it might be one of the discs was warped but when I checked the run out, both discs were in spec. What I did that seems to have fixed it is I started using mainly the front brake and lightly...

    C400X clutch pulley failure

Just so you know, the way the CVT works is as the bike speed increases those two plates separate to allow the gear ratio to change. That's why that big spring is there. If you weld them together then as the front pulley comes together from centrifugal force you are going to put a lot of stress...

    C400X clutch pulley failure

Looks to me like the pulley is pressed onto the shaft and then peened. Also the shaft is steel and the pulley is aluminum so I really don't think you can weld it. Sorry.

    C400X clutch pulley failure

Looks to me like the pulley has come loose from the shaft. I'm afraid you are going to have to replace the unit.

    C400X clutch pulley failure

No, mine made a noise more like a wood chipper. I also noticed (nice videos!) that the clutch pulley isn't wobbling like mine did. Yours sounds more like something is scraping.
