If you can find a NOS 2019 or 2020, then that is probably what you should go for. But I would really push to sit on the bike and get a test drive before you plunk you money down. That may involve a bit of a drive. And there is always the possibility of buying one used on the private sale...

Nice fabrication skills. I have a Hero 7 but so far have only mounted it to the helmet and once on a chest strap.

Nice install. I put one of the smaller shad cases on mine but used the shad rack. BMW just too pricey. I like the quality vs price with Shad. Better than the old Bestem box I had on the Silverwing.

I think it depends on the type of connector. In general they are designed so that the metal pins are crimped to the wire and slide in from the back and lock in with a small tab that sticks out. Post a pic of the connector and it may help get a more detailed response.

New Ztechnik screen came today. Put it on the bike, but haven't ridden it yet. Interesting, if you stand the old oem next to the new one they look to be the same height (this is the mid size screen). But on the bike, I now cant see over the new screen, even when it is in the lowest position...

The seat height is one of my peeves with the bike, but as long as I am wearing boots of some kind with a thicker sole, I can manage it. I thought about the lower seat, but you loose the heat. Corbin says they dont really lower the height with theirs much either. Those are the only two choices...

You can always splice wires, just make sure to shrink wrap them or use some type of liquid electrical take to keep the connections dry.

The BMW low seat is about an inch lower and you loose the heat. One here for sale recently pretty cheap. I thought about it, but the difference and loosing the seat heater didnt push me over the edge. I did email Corbin and this is what they told me: We do make a really nice saddle for that...

Well, that's not quite how a relay or electricity works, but the fact that it started points to probably a bad connection when you first put the battery back in. In any event, good luck with the bike.

That is not a bad price for the bike. At that mileage it might be getting close to needing service on the belt and chain. If it hasnt been done you could use that as a bargaining chip, but then again its more of a sellers market right now so that may only go so far..

That meter is fine. Keep in mind, there is only 12v dc in any motorcycle or car so you wont get electrocuted. I'm sure there are a few youtube vids out there that can help you with using it.

Do you have a meter? If not get one and start checking voltages. Start with the battery, should be between 13 and 14 volts. Then work backwards to the fuses and see if they have voltage either with the ignition off or on.
