How are you liking the comfort level so far? I've had several bikes, and my knees would always get sore after an hour or so, might be because i'm 6 feet tall though.
I would agree with the tunnel area, even with me being careful it scuffs up way to easy. I need to find some sort of rubber mat that I can stick on that area..... Or maybe some carpet, lol...
Just to add to this.. I ended up getting a Shad45 top box. Not as wide or spaceship looking as the 48 or 50 and it doesn't look too big on the scooter. Price was also a factor and the Shad45 can be had for $170 on amazon. So for a larger box its pretty reasonable price wise.
I have the X-creen installed and it makes a huge difference for me. I am 6 feet tall and the stock screen was just awful for me. I leave it on all the time and the wind hits the top of my helmet.
It however is still not to my liking so I am probably going to get the Givi windshield with the side...
Wondering if the Aeroflow windshield comes with the little side deflectors like the Givi Windshield does? I am leaning towards the Givi to get side deflectors too. (I have a C600)
I just completed about 300 miles today, most of which was under 55mph, I got over 60 MPG average. (I calculate my...
Yeah, stock seat. It seemed to work better when new but was still hit or miss. Lately it won't unlock 9 times out of 10 so something is out of adjustment, just not sure how to adjust it.
Most of the time I come out to the scooter with one hand full of stuff and I use the other hand to attempt to unlock the seat. It almost always doesn't unlock so I have to put all of my stuff down on the ground and pull up on the seat while unlocking it.
I haven't noticed any adjustment screw...
Any engine should be ridden easy until its oil is warm. The problem is its harder to do on a scooter as you have no gears, but yes, I do take it easy in the first 5 minutes or so to get everything warm.
The same should be true with a car too.
The Italian forum that was linked here doesn't...
That's good information. Yeah, certainly if its all cracked looking then it would need replacing. What we need is the minimum belt width acceptable. But maybe the service manual doesn't have that, they just replace at 12K and call it a day...
Belt and Chain replacement is at 12K.
BMW Scooter Maintenance Schedule - webBikeWorld (Scroll down to about the middle of the article for links)
The odd thing is that it also calls for Belt and Chain replacement at 18K too....
Why would you go 12k and replace it and then do it every 6k after...
That's because they can now classify their oils as Fully Synthetic even though they are not anymore...
Group IV and V oils are truly full synthetic oils, the 2 motorcycle oils they make are Group IV oils, the automotive oils are Group III.
"In the late 1990s, Castrol started selling an oil made...
