My new C600 Sport - first impressions

Thanks Jaime.....I'm the throwback to a bygone age and need warming up before doing anything these days! Is there any way of monitoring the temperature tho. I can't locate any gauges or such like? Probably just me missing something in the manual.......

    I'm convinced! My new C600

Glad yours is OK Greyhound; your size case looks great, 'specially when colourcoded. Needs must I'm afraid so had to buy the E52 monster! It's a bit irritating as I know that eventually it'll end up wearing thru the vinyl on the seat edge. A shame as the Givi kit is 100% top notch.....ah well...

    I'm convinced! My new C600

Hi Greyhound, Loving the accessories you've bought. I salute your good taste! Question: I fitted one of the aluminium Givi Monokey racks with a E52 top box - I've found the rear tip of the seat snags on it when opening/shutting: Does yours have that problem at all? Cheers, Hilton

    I am keen to buy a C650GT

Actually, just thinking about it; maybe the 'sales'man has been spending too much time on the Maxi-Muppets forum as what he said seems like the mantra on there? It seems you just need to mention the name 'BMW' and you'll incur a torrent of negativity......mostly from people who've never ridden...

My new C600 Sport - first impressions

I've kind've hankered after a maxi-scooter for a few years now but could never really justify one, what with living in London and commuting into the centre on either a bike on nice days or a smaller scooter most others. After a succession of thefts, it lead me to a Piaggio Beverly ST350 which is...

    I am keen to buy a C650GT

Hi Bottleofred What part of London are you? As above comments, I can't believe a dealer would say that.....unless it was a Yamaha dealer ;) Maybe he was angling to sell you another model? I can't offer any real life opinions as I now own a C600 and only done 200 miles so far but it's done...

    squeaky noise

Well, bizarrely enough, having put another few faster miles on the C600, after about 30 miles, the whining/moaning/barking virtually disappeared. Each time I take it out now it seems to get better & better. I've just spoken to the dealer who, after discussing it with the mechanic, seemed to...

    squeaky noise

Thanks for that :) It's only done 6200miles tho. It should last longer than that shouldn't it? I'll give it a longer run as only did 12miles on it last night, but it was certainly up to running temp by then - fan cutting in etc. My commute's only 9miles/40mins. It will certainly get hot...

    squeaky noise

Just had my C600 Sport delivered and taken it out for its first ride :) Am very impressed but one thing is causing me a bit of concern and from the sound of this thread, I'm not the only one: When I'm taking off from a standstill and feeding the power gently, I get a moaning type of squealing...

    New member welcome thread..

Thanks for the welcome guys :D Doreamon - I thought Black was the fastest colour ;) Well, haven't got an exact delivery date yet but they're getting the parts for the service. It's from a dealership up in the North UK where scooters are farer and fewer inbetween so they don't carry the parts...

    New member welcome thread..

Hello everybody. I'm awaiting delivery of my new(ex-dealer-demo) C500 Sport Highline in Blue. Lurked for a while on this forum and really like the friendly banter and the intelligent advice etc. Quite refreshing for a 'bike' forum. Anyway - I'm based in London UK so not a newcomer to scooter...
