I see the connector you are talking about on my shop manual but no part numbers for it. Can you take the connector in to your BMW dealer? That would be best bet in my mind.

Those wires are just looking for a complete circuit. Connect the 2 wires together to bypass the switch and that should do it.

I think it looks pretty cool, however, at 7900 plus having to paint it I doubt they will sell even one kit. It doubles the cost of the original bike. Some things are neat but are not a viable business. Clearly they didn't do any market analysis.

Oil dipstick is underneath passengers left foot platform. Easy to get to.

While you are in there with your new meter check continuity of each fuse. I have had fuses that look perfectly fine but are blown. But do as evil spock says and work backwards from the battery. In my mind with no indication of power its either main fuse or ignition switch. Keep us posted.

Have you checked the fuses? I believe there is one main big one in addition to all the little ones.

Can't speak for all the others but I am thrilled with my Vstream. Seems solid and completely covers up and over my 6'1" head plus height of helmet. Zero wind....I have the largest one and it is at least 4-5 inches higher than the stock screen.

Looks good Scottish...Albeit a bit cold and rainy for a ride. But I am a fair weather rider only. Good thing where I live that is almost year round.

You can call your local BMW motorcycle dealer or the US customer service line at 1-800-831-1117. Have your VIN ready and they can tell you exactly what has or has not been done.
