    Cleaning the CVT

A quick update on my CVT issue. I finally reassembled the entire CVT using only genuine BMW parts. I installed a new OEM Gates drive belt, a new OEM guide roller (roll pin), new hardware where required, and followed the BMW service manual step by step. Everything was tightened to the specified...

C 400: Anyone Used Michelin "City Grip 2" Tires?

Thanks for taking the time to measure the tread depth and share the numbers. That's very useful information. Around 4,000 miles (6,400 km) with that amount of wear sounds quite reasonable to me, especially considering how many riders praise the City Grip 2 for its wet-weather grip. It's good...

C 400: Anyone Used Michelin "City Grip 2" Tires?

Thanks for sharing your experience! That's exactly the kind of feedback I was hoping to hear. Most people seem to praise the City Grip 2 for its wet-weather performance, and your experience in heavy rain on the Ligurian mountain roads is very reassuring. My original Pirellis have been good so...

C 400: Anyone Used Michelin "City Grip 2" Tires?

After reading so many positive reviews from BMW C400 owners, I've pretty much made up my mind. Next season I'll be replacing my original Pirelli tires with the Michelin City Grip 2. The OEM Pirellis have served me well, but I've read countless comments praising the City Grip 2 for its...

BMW C400 GT (2020) Roller Weights

Interesting observation about the OEM BMW variator roller weights I watched the video posted above, and I noticed that even the mechanic in the video was wondering about the green paint mark on the OEM BMW variator roller weights. That made me curious as well. I have carefully gone through...

    Cleaning the CVT

Hi. Does anyone know what the green paint mark on the OEM BMW variator rollers means? Both my original rollers and my new genuine BMW rollers have it, but the service manual doesn't mention it.

C400X Battery Replacement and Service Question

My experience with the original Exide AGM battery in my BMW C400X I thought I'd share my experience with the original battery in my 2022 BMW C400X. The scooter is still running on its original BMW/Exide AGM battery, which is now almost 4 years old. From day one I've tried to take good care of...

    Cleaning the CVT

My experience replacing the CVT belt on a BMW C400X – hopefully this helps someone I wanted to share my recent experience in case it helps someone avoid the same problem. My scooter is a 2022 BMW C400X with approximately 17,300 km on the odometer. I decided to perform preventive CVT maintenance...

    Cleaning the CVT

"Hello, unfortunately we do not have any specifications for this belt from the supplier...." That's all I got from them. I won't go far with it :(

    Cleaning the CVT

Hi, I'm going to order the Mitsuboshi belt from this site. The description says it replaces the OEM BMW 24828395830 belt. Unfortunately, there's no size listed here, but I'll ask them via email if they can help. If they answer, I'll post it here. I see you're from Germany, this is a Czech...

    Cleaning the CVT

Hi, I haven't installed it, this is the original factory belt. I'll let it run for another 5000Km and then I'll replace it with a Mitsuboshi belt. I understand that Gates belts are also 30x1016. Or am I not understanding correctly? Please help me with this. I only took this photo to show what...

    Drive belt

I won't be doing the valve adjustment, I have a mechanic I know who also repairs scooters and he will adjust it and change the spark plug. But that will be after 5000Km. But I will explain that too.

    Cleaning the CVT

Hello. Today I took apart the CVT housing and blew it out with a compressor. It wasn't that dusty, since I did it last year, but I took some photos now, in case anyone is interested in what it looks like. It's a simple job, worth doing.

    Drive belt

Hi, mine will have 15,000Km now and I'm just planning to clean the CVT housing again. I want to blow it out with high pressure air, maybe today. I've already looked into a belt and new rollers. The belt will be Japanese Mitsuboshi (30x1016 cm), but the rollers will be BMW OEM. But I'll wait...

    Multi-Controller Stopped Working

Hi, it works for me, it just clicks loudly. I'm not happy about it. But it works, that's the point now, my controller is unique. Unfortunately, I no longer have a warranty.

    Multi-Controller Stopped Working

Hi. A few days ago my controller started clicking when I tilted it to the side. It really sounds like the microswitch has made a sound. Everything works as before, it just clicks. The scooter was not washed, nor used in a dusty place, so that's why it became like this. Interesting. video

    Service reseting

I didn't have to ride the bike to make the warning disappear. As soon as I cleared it, it was fine.
