Battery Condition

Hello group -

Just had my second service which included the dealer upgrading the firmware from v13 to v15. No problems to report from the upgrade.

I am now able to see the battery condition; this stands at 97%. The bike has covered 10,500km (~6,500 miles) very occasional 30A charges, 99% of the time charged at 6A. Was an ex demonstrator before me so cannot vouch for how it was treated before me.

Does the battery condition figure sound about right?

As nobody really knows where that "battery condition" number comes from, or how it is calculated, I wouldn't treat it as very important.
Averaged real world range is probably a better metric for battery health.

That said, 30A@240V translates to 7.2kW, so not even "1C" for a 8.9kWh battery. That definitively is not going to hurt it, and charging with just 6A is not doing anything, either.
I mostly charge at what the charger provides, mostly 10A@120V at home and 16A@240V at work.

Hello Richard here a photo from a unit in Paris it's got 14,000km and 97% battery life span so I think it should be ok.
