I was watching a YouTube video put up earlier today by Scooteria, whose channel I subscribe to. (He vlogs in German, but YT's "Subtitles/CC" with "Closed Captions" works fine for an English translation. He also vlogs in English, under Marc Stones, mostly about his Royal Enfield Classic 350; as I also have an RE 350, I subscribe to that, too. But I digress.)

In the video, he does a remarkably clear and thorough 17-minute discourse, IMO, on what appears to be a recently introduced motorcycle-oriented product for pairing your phone apps to this device:

The product, in two screen sizes, is https://carpuride.com/products/carp...l-bluetooth-waterproof-ip67-motorcycle-stereo or https://carpuride.com/products/carp...l-bluetooth-waterproof-ip67-motorcycle-stereo.

I have no personal knowledge of this device, so I'm just passing this along. @byee started a thread a couple of months ago regarding a similar device -- see https://www.bmw-scooters.com/index.php?threads/chigee-aio-5-lite-apple-android-carplay.3066/ -- and there seemed to be some interest in such products. (The device in that thread has more capabilities, but is also significantly more expensive.)

That's all I got.

Thanks Bill. I'll give it a watch.

Has anyone set up the Carpuride? If so, how did you mount it and what do you use for power?
I've not installed one yet as I'm waiting first for this Bar Mount Bracket to arrive. I have a 2024 C400GT and first want to make sure that will install okay as well as check that I can get a 12mm or 16mm bar on it so that I can then use the CHIGEE MFP0022 Cross Bar Mount to hold the CHIGEE AIO-5 (which is similar to the Carpuride).
Then if all of that will work yeah it will come down to getting into the bike and looking for places to route the cables for the power and cameras, and if it will work maybe even get this CGRC Remote Control CAN to use the wheel on the handle bar.

For Carpuride, I would suggest the support from Matt Adventure. He is in France but great to work with and a very nicely done mount. This mount works with a cross bar of almost any diameter. Mine happens to be 12mm. I first tried the RAM ball that comes on the back of the Carpuride but it allowed far too much vibration on the C400GT. Of course, coming from France, the mount runs around $50 to the US but it fits perfectly and is a much more robust mount. Also, unlike the stock ball mount, this will be a little harder for someone to steal.

If you want some additional info on this:

1) I ordered this connector in Jan. 2023 for the '22 C 400 GT that I owned at the time:

2) In Oct. 2023, I ordered a less expensive version of the same thing, for the '23 C 400 GT that I now own:

3) If you look at my personal C 400 GT gallery, in this particular image and caption, I identify the locations of the ground and hot (and unused) wires in that connector for you:

4) Starting with this particular image, I also have some nice clear shots of where you'll find that unused connector (which is intended for a BMW GPS):

5) Note that that connector is hot for exactly 60 seconds after the bike is turned off, so don't be freaked out, don't think you did any wiring wrong, when whatever you connect using that power source stays on for one minute after the bike is shut down.

@ArmoredCow,

Did you purchase the CHIGEE AIO-5 or the Carpuride?

@byee,

Well not to hijack the thread any more than I already have I've not bought either yet, but I am looking at the getting the CHIGEE AIO-5 because I like that it has the cameras as well as the carplay/android auto. And really the main think I like about the cameras is the fact that it has the rear facing camera that can work as a review mirror and blind spot monitor.

I did get the bar mount bracket I mentioned and it does mount well onto the 2024 C400GT. and comes with a a 22mm bar.

@ArmoredCow did you get the bar mount bracket from Amazon? It looks like it mounts with the windscreen. Is that correct? No shaking or vibrations?
I did get it from amazon and it really did not come with any instruction so I sort of had to wing it. I removed the windscreen and it sit between the windscreen and the bike. It does come with some longer screws I assume are intended to replace the four screes that normally hold the screen in place but the bracket didn't add to much thickness so I kept the manufactures screws.
As for the Shaking I just got it mounted up last night and have not had a chance to give a ride with it yet. I am a bit nervous about the chance for scratches forming where the bracket curves as that is touching the screen and I assume while riding the screen will move slightly.

In general based on how it is mounted I'm not sure it would add any more shaking or vibrations that what is seen on the wind screen. But will give an updated after I have a chance to ride with it.

Just a heads up on this sort of product.

If I understand this part of the discussion correctly -- a big IF, because I'm not sure that I follow all this -- note that:

1) I ordered this product from Amazon in June 2022:

2) It did NOT fit my aftermarket Wunderlich "Marathon" windscreen. I forget whether the problem was the specific curves of the Wunderlich, or whether it was because I have the optional vent in the windshield.

But in any case, I just wanted to provide a warning: if you have an aftermarket windscreen, some of these products may not work (if you folks are talking about the particular one I bought, or something very similar). On the other hand, we're talking chump change here, so no big (monetary) deal if you were to give it a shot, with an aftermarket windscreen.

For those following this thread, Marc Stones (AKA "Scooteria") released an English version today of that vlog I cited in the first post in this thread:
