So a message come up to the effect that my remote fob was down below 50%. So I changed the battery and now get a message telling me the remote battery is weak and not everything is going to work! So, questions.
Is this a fault on the bike or have I got a duff remote battery (tried putting the original back in, same error so not likely)?
How do I delete the error message which comes up every time I turn on the bike?
I love riding this bike but the little niggles are starting to get to me. After my last BMW I said never again and now I know why....

A few questions:

- You tried another replacement battery, from, say, a big store that sells a lot of them?

- You put a voltmeter across either of your two batteries? I think, when new, they’re supposed to be 1.5V.

- You have a TFT screen? I think you can navigate to a Messages screen, within My Vehicle. Maybe just viewing a message there will be sufficient to make it go away on next startup.

- What year and model was your 400 again?

I think your suspicion is right. The replacement battery was not a known make so I have ordered a Duracell which is a good make. I'll check with my volt meter tomorrow out of interest. There is indeed a message screen which shows you the message stored and I suspect if I get a decent battery the message will disappear. The bike is a 2019 with 9,000 miles on the odo.

Cured! Put a good quality battery in the fob and all is well.
The same thing happened to me. Put a battery in the fob that was in my house and got the same low battery message. Bought a new one at batteries plus and it worked fine. I also bought a spare incase it happens on a road trip. I need to check the shelf life on these batteries.
