I am a new owner in Ontario, Canada, and I’m having difficulty finding insurance providers for the CE 04. I am a senior experienced rider with no claims or tickets so basically I am an insurance provider’s dream. That doesn’t seem to help. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

Welcome Johnt.

My CE 04 is garaged in Tucson, AZ, so I don't have a great sense of the Ontario market. A quick inquiry to ChatGPT provided the answer below. Hope one or more of these are viable for you.

Mike
  • TD Insurance – One of Canada's largest direct-response insurers, offering comprehensive motorcycle insurance options, including liability, collision, and more.
  • Desjardins Insurance – A major insurer in Canada, providing motorcycle insurance with coverage options that include liability, accident benefits, and optional collision and comprehensive coverage.
  • Aviva Canada – Aviva is a prominent player in Ontario's insurance market, offering customizable motorcycle insurance policies, including additional coverage for accessories and gear.
  • The Personal Insurance (La Personnelle) – Offers specialized coverage for motorcycles, often with group and affinity discounts for certain professionals or members of organizations.
  • Allstate Canada – Provides various types of motorcycle insurance coverage, such as accident benefits, liability, and physical damage protection.
  • Intact Insurance – The largest provider of home, auto, and business insurance in Canada, also offers motorcycle insurance with a variety of coverage options and discounts.
  • Belairdirect – Part of Intact Financial Corporation, this provider offers personalized motorcycle insurance, often with discounts for safe riders.
  • Riders Plus Insurance – A niche insurance company specializing in motorcycle insurance in Ontario, offering competitive rates and a focus on motorcyclists’ specific needs.

Hello I'm in Montreal and my insurance provider is Intact, maybe you can see with them.

I was successful in getting quotes, from $300 to $2400. Guess which one I chose?
Thanks for your help!
Wow! That quite a range here in Montreal we have the no fault with the government so when we get the insurance it’s for the other party metals and your own, the persons are cover by the SAAQ so I pay to intact about 225.00$ a year and at the SAAQ it goes by the type on engin since our is considered 400cc I pay 470.00$
Before I had a 650 so it was 675.00$ a year and if you have a sport bike $$$$ it’s about 1200 to 1600.00$ a year.
Have a safe ride and enjoy!
In Ontario you can ride all years? Here in Quebec 1 December if you want to ride you need to put snow tires until march 15.
Cheers
Yves
