Hey all,

I started to hear this noise and am hoping its something easily diagnosable. it comes on and off, depending on speed and throttle input. Anybody got an idea as to what it could be?

We just picked up 2 brand new c400gt ions and they are seriously rattling at a certain rpm.The dealer explained it was the ctv ballance weights.
I'm considering returning the bikes as the noise is unacceptable for such a nice machine.

With cover off, rattle is more eminent so it should not be judged like that.
Secondly, you need to check geometry of the parts - rollers, sliders, bell, pulley, belt - and were wearables replaced promtply?
Check weight of each roller on electronic kitchen weights. Replacement is the solution, but to define scope properly you need to check if any metal parts have issues. (Bell and Pulley)
Normally it is sliders, rollers, belt.

My scooter also rattles and I believe it is the rollers my recollection is that the rollers always rattle a little in every scooter I have ever owned. I (almost) always wear ear plugs when I ride and don't hear the rattle at all. But when I forget to put the ear plugs in which iw rare it bothers me. My Vespa's and Piaggio scooters all vibrated and rattled usually at lower speeds. This C400gt might be the smoothest at speeds over 45 of any sccoter I've owned but it rattles and vibrates a little at lower speeds. Yours may be worse than mine?
