Taillight Protectors Options in 2026

About to take the CE04 on a one year trip across the USA. It will be in and out of the back of a truck and in hundreds of circumstances. Given I’ve already replaced a broken taillight twice, I can only imagine how often I’ll break them this year.

The thread on this forum with the person on Facebook seems to be vaporware. Other posts complain about whatever they tried not fitting, etc.

What exists, for real, actually shipping, and available to someone in the USA, right now with evidence of successful install? Or is not having taillights that break off with 1 psi of pressure beyond the wit of man?

I'd like to get a set of protectors as well. I contacted Wunderlich a couple months ago when I bought my CE04, and they were no help at all.

I saw this on FB. They have the right idea, but 85 EUR for two bent pieces of painted flat steel stock? I don't think so...

Also, the EU version of the light housing is not the same as the US version.
