Side stand brake doesn't work anymore

On my C600, when the side stand is down, it serves as a brake to prevent the bike from rolling down or forward in a slope. That was when I got it brand new. Now, when the side stand is down, it doesn't "brake." I have to park the bike in a flat surface or put a small rock on the wheel to prevent it from rolling forward/backward. What needs fixing?:confused:
 
You should be able to adjust the parking brake to close tighter. What has happened is the rotor is now thinner as it wears out. I am in the same situation. I have not even thought about parking on a hill or even the wind (if strong enough) pushing the scooter foreword.
 
Below the chain housing there is another caliper with a cable going to it. there is a nut on the end of the cable to adjust the slack. Put the bike on the center stand and with the side stand in the retracted position you can turn the nut to make an adjustment. Turn it a couple of times then put the stand down and check to see if the wheel turns. If the wheel still turns do it again.
Ask someone with mechanical experience to help you.

There is a picture of the parking brake caliper on page 79 of your owners manual.

Thank you everyone. I saw that caliper that Snowdog mentioned. But my owners manual on page 79 just says how to test the parking brake. No instructions on where that caliper is located and in what direction to turn it. Anyway, I managed to find it and adjusted it accordingly. Thanks so much Snowdog.
 
I had this problem week ago, and in service they told me that the brake pad is finished. And need to swap on new one. I got over 28.000km.
 
The nut on the end of the cable will work but that is not its purpose. The purpose of the nut is to take up cable stretch. There is a 56mm length to be in place. Then the nut at the upper end of the arm you losen and the screw in the center you snug up. When you have adjusted then you test with stand up and down. Snug up the locking nut
