Your help please....synching new key to scoot..?

I happened to come across this thread on the BMW LT forum. It's a few years old, and pertains to RTs, not CE-04s, but it may give you an idea or two, regarding antenna loops and fob placement:


I am only somewhat amazed at how complicated that sort of thing is; I've been through the assign and release options of FOBO TPMS sensors, and direct placement of your phone next to a sensor is sort of similar. I suppose it all comes down to security concerns.

Another option, it seems to me, would be to pay a dealer to get the job done.

Me, with my one and only fob that came with my brand new C 400 GT last year, I put an Air Tag on its ring, so if I ever lose the fob I have a good chance of getting it back. I also carry a spare button battery in my topcase.
