check engin light

Hello to all on two wheels. I have a thing going on with my 2020 650gt. When driving, the bike will jerk, then all lights will stop working headlights, stop lights, and turn signals but the dash will be o.k. The bike does not turn off when this happens. I will turn the bike off, and it will be fine for about 5 min. Then the bike will jerk, and the check engine light will pop up. Now I have LEDs for the headlight bulbs, but they have been installed for two years, so far I have not a clue,HELP!! My shop that can work on my bike is more than 10 miles away.

How old is the battery, and also have you checked that its terminal bolts are tight?
