One of the guys I know in Spain put the AUTISA on his C600 and videoed it, first with 15gm weights, then with 30 gm. Faster acceleration through the midrange with the lighter weights, but higher top speed and about 1,000 rpm less across the board with the heavier weights. The AUTISA with both sets is much smoother-acting than the JCosta they emulate, but with a much improved weight design that avoids the rapid performance degradation of the JCosta due to excessive weight wear. As usual I didn't understand a thing you said about the variators lighter/heavier weights, performance degradation, etc., but that video really is cool.

Be aware with this variator. The only place I read something good is in the Spanish forum. It seems there is a tester for BMW. But in other forums I've read many bad things. It seems is a chinese copy of the JCosta.

I will be buying the new JCosta EVO4RC in the next weeks. I will be posting my feelings.Can't wait!

I had to join just to quell the Chinese copy suggestion. Autisa is NOT a Chinese copy.

Without going into too much detail Autisa is a spin-off of J Costa. Engineered and produced by one of the original partners of J Costa. It is also made in Spain. Yes it may look similar that is because it comes from the same genus, but it has a different concept of weight design.
