Had the stall today at I would guess about 10 mph, in a turn with a decent lean going on. Am guessing back wheel kind of locked as back end slid out a bit and I couldn't stop bike going down. Was able to almost stop it hitting the deck too hard but side panel and lower panel have some minor damage. Just by coincidence a friend was behind me in a car and saw the back wheel sliding. As a relative rookie not sure I could have stopped the slide. Not having stalled before and on a CVT, does back wheel usually lock up? Was not locked up when I picked up scoot after about 20 seconds.
The only problem I've had is an occasional lumpy running engine right after a cold start. Manually keeping the idle speed up for a few moments cleared that up. I also put in a bit of that Star Brite blue enzyme stuff that's supposed to make things run better and stabilize the lousy alcohol in our gas. A couple ounces of that stuff now and then in the tank seems to have eliminated the lumpy idle. The bike's been running perfectly for the last couple thousand miles now. I buy it at Walmart, a six ounce bottle lasts a long time.
I have also found that when cold I will start up accelerate and it will try to stall (like there is an air bubble in the line) and then catch in again.
In either case the scooter runs fine the rest of the day.
Sorry for such a late response, but my 2016 had this engine shut-off since mile 4 on the bike. NEW. Stalled approaching stops and tight turns six times while driving home from the dealership. Been there ever since. That, btw, has been over a month now; it's been in "diagnostics" and "research" with the factory ever since.
Sorry to hear this and after a month without success, they should be supplying you with a new ride.
