Well, maybe 10 miles…my camera did not snap the begin miles when I did my first ride after getting the new scooter home. Granted, 10 miles does a Review not make though first impressions just the same.
I am thinking this seat has got to go and maybe corbin will make one. Doubt I will feel the bmw tall screen will be tall enough for me needs but purchased it anyway so will see. Got the screen but bmw did not ship the screws nor bracket for it yet.
Likewise got the vario topcase though again bmw did not ship the screws yet for it.

- The design wants you to put your feet forward, not below you due to the comfort seat rear lip behind the driver.
- If you put your butt on the lip of the seat (not comfortable as not designed for that) you can have your feet down below you and sit up just a bit which actually is sort of a nice riding position…save for the bump on the seat your sitting on.
- It is a scooter, expect scooter rear suspension travel. Not great but one can make due on smooth roads while watching for the bumps.
- Not sure how many would keep the bike if bmw let users take it home overnight. I will keep it and hope the upsides make me want to keep it. Had a 650 burgman and it was fun though likewise not great over bumps.
- Not certain if the normal sitting position, back against the seat lip and feet forward at an angle helps ones lower back or not honestly. I always think of that type of setup as putting pressure on your tail bone.
- right side has less area to place your foot flat than left side does
The Good - No sound to speak of, no heat
- In your face large TFT screen…I mean it so darn close to you (not in a bad way).
- Connects the rider to their environment
- Hop and go affair
- Under seat storage
- I dig the looks in the gray color with hints of orange. Someone send me their orange screen gathering dust on a shelf in your garage please from over pond you don’t want please
- Only have done Eco mode for the moment, I know the others will be faster. Even in Eco it has enough power to move me on the bike fine and fast enough.
- Figure the side bag (four screws) will be easy to install and useful.
