Another front fork leak

The first time i had the front fork leak was about 1.5 years ago on my 2016 C 650 GT. I noticed this last week. I do
believe it's a manufacture defect. This is ridiculous. So i did call wild west motoplex on this issue. The service shop
said i will have to bring that i would have to bring the bike in so they could see why the SAME fork is leaking oil
AGAIN a 2 nd time. I asked the shop guy IF there is a recall on that part. He looked n said no. Another $400.00
for this crap. WHY can't BMW make parts last longer then 2 yrs???

I noticed the chrome on my front forks is corroding, but fortunately not on the parts where they contact the seals/bottom lart of the forks. So far no leaks, touch wood.

Here's a update i went to my dealer to see about getting the parts ordered for BOTH front
forks. The parts manager said he will get the parts asap. Pat the service manager said he will
work with me on the labor issue.. I have been a customer for the last 10 yrs me n Pat know
each other.

That is the pitting on the lower fork. I have the same problem with that. 1.5 yrs ago i did NOT have that issue but i had the front fork leak. This time Pat the service manager said it
would cost $ 900 per fork OUCH.

So now i have the bike back front fork fixed but there is pitting on the on the right side fork.
Service manage said you are looking at $900. per fork YEAH OUCH. Got a LOUDER horn twice as loud as the OEM horn n the front low beam had gone out just about 2 days before.
I had just replaced that same bulb about 2 months ago. 3 rd time in 1 now that's bad they
said they checked a couple of things n could not find out why it's blowing the low beam
out. only a couple of hundred miles in 2 months.

I found that the cheaper headlight bulbs are rated longer-life, because they don't burn as intense. So nowadays I fit the cheaper bulbs whereas before I mistakenly thought the more expensive ones would last longer. It's generally the opposite, but read the fine print on estimated service life / hours on the packaging.

Can you share a link to the horn please. Instead of beep beep I want honk honk. I had an air horn on my k1600. I just wired it directly from the battery with a 12v relay hooked to the horn button

There is NO room under the cowling to put a air horn. They had 1 place to put the NEW
horn that i bought from the dealer. It was $50 bucks they installed that one. They will not
use any after market horns that you bring in that's how the Wild West Motoplex service
Dept. works. They had to many wrong aftermarket parts. I did not get that info of the horn
but it's a HONK HONK horn. IF you would like to call Wild West out in Katy Tx. Here is the
# 281 392 8850 ask for parts dept. n tell them you are looking for a a new horn for your
BMW C 650 GT n get the part No. Hope this helps?
