BMW badge/roundel

I haven't done it but have had the side panel off several times. I think it's just screwed in from the back and should be simple.

They're usually held in place with adhesive. You'd need a hot air gun to get them off (hair dryer MIGHT work).

I've had mine off and don't remember much about it so it must have been pretty doggone easy.

they are held on with self adhesive, all of the above or soak in lube (WD-40 etc) and this will break down the adhesive.

While it looks like it may be screwed in its not. When I asked at the dealership they said there are over 10 ways BMW attach the badge/roundelle is attached on BMW cars and bikes. And there are 18 different sizes. They were quite sure it's double sided tape and of course the standard locating pins. I will find out later when I try and remove.

OK it took all of 30 seconds to remove and put on the new panel - that's the good news if you can call it that. There is nothing but a bit of friction with the locating pins involved. Nothing else at all. The bad news - any jerk who collects these things to put on '92 Honda Civics will have no problem! Am thinking I need to get some double sided tape or perhaps glue although easier to steal perhaps means less damage to the painted panel.

Keep moving, makes it harder for them to steal them.

Bought a spare on Ebay with description of "New 73mm BMW trunk emblem badge 325ci coupe E46 2000-2006 trunk label logo". It's identical to the ones on our scoots.
