BMW Dropping C600 From 2015 U.S. Offerings?

Yes, it's true. I did not know they were dropping the hp4 but I'm not surprised. Here in SF bay area I see loads of RR but I've not seen an hp out on the road. I figure that if I've not seen one at Alice's Restaurant then it must not be selling too well.

Darn - no more making fun of Skutorr - now we'll both have the best discontinued sport scooters in the U.S.

The GTs are quite sporty. I don't miss the TMAX at all. And, they're a helluva lot more practical in terms of storage and weather protection than the TMAX or the C600 Sport to boot at not much more expense.

In this country, motorcycles are "toys" and scooters are "practical." I think that's the big difference between us and Europe where all two-wheelers are looked at pretty much equally. In that vein, a "practical" scooter will beat out a "fun" scooter every time as far as sales are concerned.

That's why it's a good thing that BMW made the C650GT practical AND fun. ;)

Interesting. As the C650Gt was only about $500 more than the C600Sport, that also contributed to the much greater sales of 650s. Look how much more you got for only another $500!

Now that the C600 is no longer coming here, the price of the C650 just went up $500 MORE. $1,000 more than a bike that is no longer a lower-priced option. Now THAT'S BMW Customer Service!

All kidding aside, I have no problems with BMW customer service re: their cars. The opposite in fact...GREAT customer service (or is it the dealer ???).

This is the first BMW bike I have owned so I have no previous experience with BMW Motorrad. In as much as Yellasei works for a BMW dealer and is one of those fancy pants technicians, I suggest we all blame him if there are any service shortcomings, supply hiccups, or accessory shortfalls.
