Can a cupholder be added?? and touch up paint source?

Sorry for all the posts. I promise I am doing a search before posting a new thread, but I cannot find precisely what I am looking for.

Is it possible to add a cup holder to the C650GT? The handlebars don't look like the ones on my husband's motorcycle (he has all sorts of stuff on his) and I don't trust suction cup things, so I am sort of thinking I am out of luck.

Also, I scratched it a bit today and would like to know if anyone has a source for touch up paint they know will match. I have a 2018 in ocean blue metallic and I guess I need both the blue and the gray contrast color. The BMW website apparently does not offer it. Suggestions?

Thank you

If you add a RAM mount you can add a cup holder or other mounts such as phone or GPS mount. Just search RAM mount for website or on Amazon. Several options for locations and depending on if you how you want to add on. On 2015 and older can add brake reservoir top mounts as base then add an arm and the actual mount. Not sure that you can with 2016 and newer. If you search phone mounts you will find info on RAM mounts, for cup holder just add cup holder part in place of x-grip or phone specific mount.

Try Colorite website for touch up paint. https://www.colorrite.com/

@bicyclenut, thank you for the website. They don't list the scooter in the available BMW models but I will keep looking. I will also check out the RAM mounts.

@davidh, thank you for the photos. I didn't know anything could be attached back there so that is good to know!

Hi tensixmom,
I have a 2016 C650GT. To mount a Ram cup holder you need to order this brake reservoir cover from motorcyclelarry.com. http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=48_65&products_id=149

This cover fits C650GT perfect and you can add 1 or 2 ram balls to each cover depending on what you need. I purchased the 9000BS BLACK SINGLE along with 1 ball and a 1 x SHORT ARM (1044 RAM-B-201A) = $13.59. Go to Ram mounts and order your self a nice cup holder to put your cold drink in and there you have it. It works great. I have told motorcyclelarry that this cover is an exact fit to our BMW but they say they can't verify this because they have no 2016 C650GT to physically try it on. It does fit great.

Ride safe and have fun! Paul

Ditto! RAM also makes a brake reservoir cover but the one from Motorcycle Larry is superior.

Soooo I called Go AZ, which is the dealership I got the bike from, in order to go 'straight to the source' for touch up paint. Guess what. They told me BMW doesn't sell touch up paint in the US because they still use lead-based paint in their production (!!!!) and the website "colorrite" doesn't carry my color at all (which made me feel better, since I couldn't find in there either) and that it sometimes isn't an exact match anyway.

I wonder if the Metallic Ocean Blue is a new color this year and that's why they don't have it? Leave it to me to buy a brand new, expensive machine that has expensive replacement parts, expensive tip over protection, and a paint color no one has. *sigh*

A little late to the party but I added a removable cup holder by cutting a one inch slot in the backside of the handlebar cover snf riveted a 2 1/2" tongue to a cup holder. This way I can easily lift the holder out and stow it when I don't need it. Originally I cut the slot to accommodate the mounting tongue on my Gerbihgs heat controller. It's very handy there as I can see and adjust the heat controls as well as have nice short leads to connect my Gerbings gloves and jacket liner. I bought a spare center handlebar cover piece and mounted a cell phone holder so I could use the GPS app (Garmin) with my phone. I also have a Sena Bluetooth unit on my helmet which we use as an intercom, phone, and as a link to my phone and GPS app. Nice and compact and clean looking. I routed a 12V lead from the battery to the back side of the plastic center cover under the handlebars. Makes for a short lead to my heat controller as well as a handy place to plug in my battery tender.
