Computer diagnostic tool

I had a few bucks on hand from selling my K1100 so decided to splurge big time on a diagnostic tool so I could read and clear the GT's computer. These tools run from $300-400 but are worth it if you want to do much trouble shooting on your C650. With this unit I can read many parameters of my scooter's computer. Things like coolant temperature, engine oil temperature, battery/alternator voltage, sensor faults, fuel injection information, ABS function, etc. There's about 25 sensors and parameters that one can see in real time. I bought the WIFI unit so I can read the computer with my laptop or wirelessly to my iPhone. It can also be connected via an included cable as well as WIFI.

One thing I found was that my oxygen sensor is showing a fault. I cleared it and it showed up again a couple days later. I'll be sure to advise my dealer when the 6000 mile check comes up next month while the bike is still in warranty. All other parameters were at their nominal values which is nice to know.

Unless you are going to fix the bike yourself, buying the tool is a waist? BMW will use there tools and find the same stuff wrong. Unless of course you just want to know.

It is not a waste as even if you change your own oil and reset your service light you save $50-60.
I have the gs 911 and I have reset other bikes and charge $40 after a few of these the tool will pay for itself and then the tool is basically free. I will also reset the service light so it won't come on for a long time as I will reset it to come on as far off in the future 4-5 years and/or 60-70,000km (with permission from the client) down the road.
I have scanned the other bikes the service light was not on but the scan found faults and this way they can go to the dealer armed with info and know what they should find so they do not take you to the cleaners.

Can this computer diagnostic tool, shut off the Lamp warning I'm getting cause I replaced the headlamps with LED bulbs?

It is a fault that brings up the lamp light and until the fault is corrected the chance of it going out with the tools is very minimal and if it did it would probably come back soon after

I think you would need to correct the resistance otherwise the fault code will stay on.

How do I know these are the proper resistance I need...

The link speaks to LED Turn Signals. I replaced the headlights...

Does it matter?
