Thought I would post a few pics of my Ermax hugger mudguard / fender..



I went for the cheapest unpainted type (called "brute" in French) Cost was €112 plus €16.50 shipping to Ireland.
The black looks fine I think, but it is scratched pretty easily.

The supplied instructions were hopeless and one of the screws was too long so I had to saw it off, but otherwise fitting was easy enough.

You can judge for yourself whether it actually makes any difference to the amount of muck thrown up - I think it does very little!
There's a pocket at the front that looks like it was just designed to collect dirty water - I may drill a drain hole in it sometime.

Pity BMW don't make an add-on hugger themselves. Or even bother to make the standard "high-level" mudguard much use at all.
My old scooter was much better as regards cleanliness - out of sight, out of mind seems to be the rear wheel design philosophy on a Silverwing
