Fork oil and dirt seals replacement

Hello, i have a 2013 C600 Sport and i love it. I have a leak on the left front suspension fork and decided to change the oil and dirt seals. I did that on other motorcycle but my first time on this BMW fork.
I unscrewed the cover lid and got the oil (most of it) out. Now i am trying to separate the stanchion from the slider tube but i can't remove the cover lid from the Stanchion.
Is there something else i am missing?
I also tried to unscrew the ISA screw using my hammer screwdriver but it doesn't bulge.
Any help, recommendation, documentation would be very much appreciated. I have the new seals but i am stuck with this cover lid to go further.
Thank you!
Claude
Below is the reference of the parts:

Hi Dave, thank you for sharing this. I agree that this should not be difficult. My problem is that once i unscrewed the sealing cap (1), i was able to empty the oil but i cannot access the locknut and the rod due to another protective tube that prevents me from accessing anything. As a result, i have the rod still screwed to the sealing cap and i can't disassembly the fork leg completely. Is there a special tool i need to access the rod? see the picture below. The inner black tube is preventing me from accessing the rod inside. Thank you again for any helps with this issue.
Claude

As you can see, the documentation does not say anything about an internal tube. Have you just tried pulling it apart?

Yes i did many ways without success so far. Not sure what to do next.
The fork you are working on is the front right fork (not left) the sleeve is covering the pre load spring.
Will it move (slide) up or down, even 3mm. When you get it apart, how much pressure is on the spring?

You are right, this is the right fork when you sit on the bike. I apologize for this misleading information. When i try to move up and down the sleeve, the resistance is very strong and i only could have about a finger nail space while i was pulling it up as hard as i could. I slide the tip of a blade under but removed it because i don't want to damage it.

I just realized that I looked up my bike in the service documentation, and not yours. I'm sorry about that.
No worries. My bike is a 2013 C600 Sport ABS. I appreciate your help and will look at the tool / similar tool to see if it would work for me. I need to get it done as i need my C600 for commuting. Anybody who had done the seals replacement on this bike, please help.
Thank you a lot for your responses! Let's get it done!
