Looks like a good price! Nice bike; is it being replaced with...?

Bought the GT when I lived in OH shortly before moving to AZ. Since moving back here I've got the urge to get out onto some of the many fire roads around there state. AZ is a place you can ride all year long but when I lived in OH I could literally leave my driveway and within minutes be in great scenic, twisty roads. Now don't get me wrong about AZ, there is plenty of beautiful places to ride but you've got to ride to get to those spots. Guess I'm spoiled. The bike is in good shape but if anyone tells you their bike is perfect it never left the garage. I can find a couple places where rocks found paint, but you really gotta look for them. I mean how much can you hurt something only 6600 miles on it. Besides, I'm not the wheelie kind of guy

So upon finding my GT a good home I will take a serious look and decide on one of the 650, 700 or 800 BMW's intended for those dirty road purposes.

Hey, I'm with you on both the Ohio riding areas AND on the dual purpose bike. I am thinking about buying a 250 and a trailer so I can haul it behind my 4-Runner and do some dirty work; keeping my 650GT.

I rode my 650GT for about 3 hours yesterday; Chagrin Falls to Cuyahoga National Park plus way around and back the long way. I will engineer my own dual purpose but I can certainly understand why you would want one bike.

I've never had the luxury of having the space or the disposable income at the same time. I read about all of these people with a stable full of various rides and am sometimes envious. But quite honestly I don't do my own wrenching so paying to keep multiple bikes up would get costly.

The eastern half of OH is a riders paradise, except for the more then occasional inclement weather. The western half is boring, flat and straight like a lot of AZ.

I thought a lot about the Honda Nc700 with DCT and also about my concerns about not having as much control with a CVT bike. Even considered going back to a KLR 650. Fact is, if I wanted to do any dirt riding I obviously would not use my 650GT. I am with you 100% on that.

Been there done that and may do it again. Meanwhile, I'll explore the freedom trips and back roads on my 650GT.

Whoever gets your 650GT wii get a real deal. Keep us up to speed on what you end up with.

I'll say that if I was to get rid of my Sport to get a ADV bike....I know it's expensive but the 1200GS waterboxer looks to be the last bike a guy would ever need. Lord knows its twice as expensive as a Cseries, but how I lust when I see the guys out on the highways on them with the full luggage and the "I'm going to go wherever my heart takes me" look. That'll prob be my next bike when I get Sporty paid off.
