Cool! My scooter is currently in the shop for its 24,000 mile service so maybe it'll arrive in time for me and I won't have to bring it back for another 6,000 miles.

Just got my notice the brake line is now in and to call the dealer to set up my appointment to have the work done. The letter also says it will take about 2 hours. I am in no rush and will have it done late spring or early summer.

I have mine scheduled for two weeks assuming they CAN get the part.

Got my letter today to get the recall done. Will call the dealer tomorrow. My scooter is in storage at the dealer. I hope he can handle this job seems simple.

I have never locked the steering. Oh well.

I received the original recall notice back in December. Called the dealer on Friday and talked to them about the recall, service guy finally found the bulletin and ordered the parts. Should be about a week or so, then I'm done.

Got the letter today saying the parts were now available. Since the scooter is still in the shop, I wonder if they'll hold it until they have it? Not open today, so I'll call and find out tomorrow.

Well, Snoopy's home again and he has his new front brake line, too! The parts are definitely available so if you haven't had the recall done yet, call your dealership!

After seeing these later posts last weekend, I was going to call my dealer on Tuesday. When I got home, my recall letter was in the mail. When I got my phone out, I discovered a missed call from the service manager. Not only were the parts available, he had already ordered them and received them that day. In at nine this am. Out by ten. Out for a ride today

Parts are slow to get there so I picked up my bike after 3 weeks in the shop and they said they would call me back in when they got the parts.

Got recall work done this morning. BMW state it's a 2 hour job but manufacturers almost alway short change dealerships on recalls to save money. Anyway in at 8am and out again at 11am. Saw BMW recall service notes and as is fairly obvious, left side panel and handlebar covers removed before fluid drained etc, etc. Was told that mechanics do so little scooter work anything tends to take them a bit longer than GS bikes and the likes.
