Hello:

I am a happy owner of a 2016 C650GT only 5 days ago!! I bought the bike in Chico from Ozzies! Great shop and great staff. I'll be using the bike primarily for medium range touring through my neck of the woods and will be interested in learning what accessories are great add ons for making the rides even more enjoyable. I had a great 2 hour ride back from Chico through the Sierras!! I am looking forward to many great adventures on this bike. Happy riding to all!!!!!!🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🚀

I would add a top box and taller windshield for starts. Then, GPS, radio, outlets for heated gear, and sidebags/cases as needed.

Snowdog, thank you so much!! Would you please share your opinion on vendors for the windshield and sidebags and cases.
I am a whopping 5'8", so for me the stock windshield seems good enough for me, but I don't know what benefits the aftermarket windshields have to offer. Again, thanks in advance!! Looking forward a ride next weekend!! Also, any opinion on the BMW wind deflectors for the hands??

yeah you might not need a windshield on a GT, I am 5'8" also on a Sport and put a Givi on as I prefer a big windscreen.
I have side cases rather then bags as I carry equipment that I think is better protected by a box. I have used soft luggage in the past, and find I prefer working out of hard luggage in the hotel/campsite, rather then soft.

I have large and small Givi boxes for varying load, but, had to fabricate the rack myself. One good way to go is with a topbox and a large waterproof duffle across the seat. You can get very large waterproof duffles for less then 100 bucks, and weekend size for less than 50.
Just search the internet for the best deals, as different vendors have sales. Type in motorcycle luggage and start looking. Isn't shopping half the fun? I like GIVI it isn't real fancy, but, my first Top Box is fifteen years old and still looks good and hasn't ever leaked a drop. There are pictures of my Sport in the gallery and other posts here, check it out.resized1scooter.jpg

Small sidecases.

Hey Lee,

Glad you decided on a great super scooter. My suggestion....put a couple thousand miles on that beauty before you make any changes/add-ons. The GT is ready to take you cross country as is.

That said, at some point, you may want to tweak a few things and the experienced folks here will help you with what works for them.

Note: Just as has been suggested, I have "modified" nearly every bike I have ever owned.

Steve, thank you for your sage wisdom. I tend to agree, since I am pretty happy with the set up as is. My life is now defined by either riding, or not riding! I am so looking forward to Fall out here, with blues skies and cooler temps..ideal riding weather for me!!
