I was just going to put on my new/old mirrors.

I just got my scooter back from the dealer first service and was going to change the mirrors to a set I had used on my previous bikes but then thought I might as well finally put on those hand guards I bought but never put on because they hit the windshield.

So I called the manufacturer of the windshield and asked if it could be cut. (Some plastics can not be cut they will just shatter.) Once he gave me the OK I went to town. After mounting the hand guards I turned the handlebar till it hit the windshield and marked how much I needed to cut. It looked like I needed to cut in 2.5 inches but I removed about 3 inches of material because I did not want to do it twice. I could have left a full inch of windshield on and it would have been fine but I'm OK with the results as is. Hope you can see it in the picture.

I masked the cut area with blue masking tape and used a varialble speed Boush Jig Saw with a plexi glass blade. It worked really well. Sanded the edges a little and mounted it on the bike.

The second picture is with the handlebars turned all the way in. You can see I got the height just right but could have left at least an inch more of the shield on the side.

Good work! Glad you’re liking the screen too! Not that it matters at this point, but for others, Calsci will cut your screens free of charge.

The screen has worked out great for me and I would not hesitate to purchase another if this one goes bad or gets to scratched. The hole in it is positioned at the perfect height to keep my Garmin a little cooler when Im riding. (Those Garmins get really hot expecially it the sun is beating on them through a windshiels.) I forgot the owners name but when I called he was extreamly helpful with all kinds of tips on how to cut it. We talked quite a while.

they’ll also omit the hole if an owner wants it to be solid. That is honestly great that it’s working out!
