Ever since I got "Woodstock," "Snoopy" (my 2013 C650GT) has been sitting in the garage gathering dust. However, yesterday I got to use him for something I pretty much could NOT do with any of my other PTWs in the garage... I went shopping at CostCo.
Yes, I could've used my car... but where's the fun in that? That cavernous space under the seat can hold those giant packages of chicken, shrimp, and pork along with the jumbo-sized jugs of laundry detergents like nothing else. A second stop at the Shop Rite cemented its utility when I picked up a couple dozen individual cans of cat food. Yes, I suppose I MIGHT'VE been able to manage that load on the K1200LT, but it would've been a tricky task of balancing out the load across the two saddle bags and the shape of the bags would've made packing the heavy laundry detergent tricky.
No problem with the C650GT, though. All that heavy stuff fit under the seat without affecting handling and there was plenty of room in the top case for the lighter stuff. Who knew the C650GT made such a great "station wagon" in a pinch? Unfortunately for the scooter, though, the Zero S makes much more sense for my daily commute, especially now that the top case FINALLY came in and I don't have to wear a backpack anymore.
