My Utopia backrest arrived yesterday. I waited a little over a month for my manufacture and ship date.
Installation is easy and includes visual and written instructions. Just remove the OEM butt rest (three screws), attach the Utopia backrest to the buttrest with one bolt and washer they provide, and screw the OEM butt rest back in place.
The backrest is adjustable by height (shown at top height), depth (forward or back) and lean angle. There is a "purse" on the back side that zips shut -- handy for my sunglasses. The purse is attached to the back of the backrest with Velcro, so I added a small chain and lock in case it flies off (I won't lose my Rx sunglasses).
Cost was $247 + $24 UPS. I added an $18 cover for the metal bracket that sits on back of the buttrest. Took some tweaking to get it just right, but the backrest felt solid and very comfy on my ride to the beach this morning. I've always been a kick back and cruise kind of rider, so this fits. Utopia did a nice job matching color and material with the OEM.
