For me, I am chasing performance. This scooter isn't fast enough for me. Yeah, it gets louder and yeah I hate it louder. I wish there was some middle ground when it could be a little louder than stock. It always seems like with motorcycle exhausts the aftermarket companies just make baffles, they really aren't mufflers any more. It cost too much to produce a high flow muffler, so just make a straight can with some sound absorbing in it and ship it out. Sigh....

The louder the pipe, the smaller the penis...
I thought that was jacked up height of a pickup truck?

For loud pipes there is a thin line between performance junkie and asshole. The difference an asshole revenue the engine alot making the most noise as possible on smaller roads.
You know the "look at me revs"...

How much faster than 110mph are you trying to go? Or is it acceleration that your after. I'm thinking that a 60 horse 550lb touring bike just won't ever be a sprinter. Plus remember that a cvt will never give the rider the same 'seat of the pants' feel that dropping a clutch and going through the rev range will. Our bikes pretty much spend it's entire life at a ultra narrow rev range, so it'll nerver sound like a geared bike either.

As fast as possible :) I don't need to go faster than 110, But yes, I want faster acceleration.

The CVT actually makes it feel faster that some bikes because you are almost always sitting at or near peak torque.
I test drove a 2008 BMW R1200RT (110hp/88tq) and it just felt downright sluggish in comparison to my scooter. Curb weights as pretty close too. It's because peak torque is usually further away with a manual vs a CVT.

I don't need anything faster, but I want something faster. I came from 180hp bikes, so the scooter will always feel slow to me, but other than speed the scooter is really great at everything else.
Everyone has different needs and there is no perfect bike, but for me a C600 with a 850cc motor at around 90hp and better wind protection would be perfect... I am never going to get 90hp out of the scooter, but I like to do what I can.

This sounds like a proper scooter! Pretty much similar to the Akrapovic & the arrow headers in the video posted by vazbro. Btw I have a question. Will our scooter run too lean by replacing the cat and the stock exhaust?.

I just finished doing mine (Header and Akro muffler) and it's way too loud for me. Especially on the highway. Now I need to figure out whats more restrictive, the Cat or the Muffler. Tonight I'm going to put the stock muffler back on and see how that sounds. I want a little extra noise and power, but this is too much noise for me.
